I was inspired to create this oil painting after returning home from my 3rd extraordinary weekend at the actual Camp Crystal Lake aka Camp NoBeBoSco (North Bergen Boy Scouts) in Blairstown, New Jersey back in 2019.
I was on such a natural high for days after meeting so many of you, my fabulous Happy Campers at the Boy Scout Camp where the original Friday the 13th was filmed in 1979. The energy was incredible & the memories long lasting!
We shared so many hugs, laughs, & stories! The scenery was exquisite. So worthy of a painting I thought.
Then I found this fab photo that my friend, Peter S. from Australia, took of the Lake on his second trip to "Camp Crystal Lake".
He had captured our Camp in all its splendor on an exquisite Friday the 13th evening in September 2019. The sun setting that evening had created delicious parfait-colored skies that reflected in the waters. It brought me back immediately to that incredible day. This had to be a painting! So, here it is for you to enjoy.. I hope it brings you back to where it all began.

My giclees are oil based high end pigments sprayed onto either canvas or matte paper... taking days to dry... that’s why they look so good with colors that match ideally to the original.
