As you can see my ART has always been my THERAPY.

Notice my Bag of Masks.

It's very difficult for me to part with my original paintings. They are a part of me. My therapy. My blood. My children.

However, back in 2015 I was given a wonderful opportunity by the talented Theresa Jara, an art curator at the Dallas Museum of Art & Ed Neal's beautiful wife. She appreciated my artwork so much that she arranged a sponsorship for me to show my paintings in a One-Woman Art Show at Texas Frightmare Weekend. It was my great purge. We decided on a silent auction for our family charity and my children found new loving parents.

It was very difficult for me to part with my paintings, but they are being treasured by my Campers now.

I enjoy Plein-Air Painting. Here I am overlooking our property in Southern Oregon painting our beautiful surroundings by the river. Specifically, our Madrone trees.

Madrones twist and turn into the most amazing natural sculptures. Their bark peels into the most exquisite design patterns & colors. I feel them to be sensual to the touch & yes, I do hug these particular trees for their incredible soothing energy.

Biologists say that trees are social beings and I certainly feel that energy as I meander through our woods & the forest behind us. Trees can count, learn and remember. They nurse sick members, warn each other of danger by sending electrical signals across a fungal network & for reasons unknown, keep ancient stumps of long felled companions alive for centuries, by feeding them a sugary solution through their roots. We should all be more like trees.
