Learn More About Limited Edition Giclees
So, what exactly is a giclee? (pronounced Gee-Clay)
Giclee is the French word meaning to spray & create with paint & as such was the chosen name for the intensive process of achieving high-end exquisite archival art prints.
My fine art quality limited edition "giclee" prints are masterfully printed using the giclee process; with fade-resistant, archival pigment inks.
My paintings are printed on 100% acid free art canvas or archival 110 lb. cold press stock; velvet matte or bamboo depending on the feel that best matches the feel of the artwork.
The colors in each & every one of my giclee masters has been carefully matched to my original painting. After I inspect your giclee I will sign it & then number your limited edition giclee print. Next, I sign & number your corresponding Certificate of Authenticity. If you would like me to include a personalized inscription I will incorporate that at this point on your Certificate.
If you are ordering your giclee on canvas I will also sign the back of your canvas that will be exposed after you have it stretched onto stretcher bars. Just let me know with your order. It's very important to me that YOU are a Happy Camper when you receive your new painting.
While these giclees are archival, as with any paper or canvas they should not be exposed to direct sunlight, excessive heat or humidity. Unlike the processed inks used to make lithographs, pigment inks will retain their original vibrance for decades, even for hundreds of years, making giclee prints the choice of discriminating artists and art collectors. The use of of archival materials results in a reproduction that will last for generations if displayed and cared for properly.
